President Joe Biden nominated a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP to serve as general counsel at the Treasury Department.
Neil H. MacBride joined Davis Polk in 2014 after serving in various roles in the Obama administration, including U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, according to the firm’s website. He focuses on complex civil litigation, government enforcement actions, and congressional and internal investigations.
- MacBride has experience working for Biden: following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, MacBride worked as chief counsel and staff director for Biden on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
