Biodiesel Tax Credit Included in Tax Extender Legislation

An extension of the $1 per gallon biodiesel tax credit is part of the tax extender legislation that the House Ways and Means Committee may markup as soon as June 20, three people familiar with the matter said.

• Package retroactively extends tax credits for biodiesel that expired at the end of 2017.
• Groups calling for the tax credit include the National Biodiesel Board, the American Soybean Association, and the American Farm Bureau Federation.
• Legislation has yet to be be publicly released and is still subject to change.
