‘Blue Book’ Proposes Technical Changes to Republicans’ Tax Law

The nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation released its explanation of recent changes to the tax code in its so-called “blue book,” identifying provisions of Republicans’ mega tax law from 2025 that may require technical corrections.

JCT typically works with tax staff in both the House and Senate as well as the Treasury Department to prepare the document, which practitioners eagerly await for its official description of new tax laws to divine lawmakers’ intent during drafting.
