The IRS released Rev. Proc. 2022-10 establishing an 18-month pilot program for “fast-track processing” of private letter rulings that are solely or primarily under the Associate Chief Counsel (Corporate). The pilot program is the direct result of several informal comments from taxpayers regarding the time it takes to receive a PLR and should serve to improve service to taxpayers.
