Democrats Seek to Revive Energy Credits

A group of House Democrats is introducing new legislation that they say will help lower Americans’ energy bills by encouraging renewable energy production.

The legislation, led by Reps. Mike Levin (Calif.) and Sean Casten (Ill.), probably won’t get traction in this Congress, but it includes some of the party’s top energy priorities that are sure to appear on the campaign trail. The sponsors hope to highlight Democrats’ agenda if they retake the majority, Levin said in an interview with Bloomberg Tax.
