Highly anticipated rules for a tax credit meant to encourage the production of more climate-friendly fuels are one step closer to being released.
The rules (RIN:1545-BR30) for the 45Z clean fuel production credit were received Wednesday by the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, according to OIRA’s website.
The rules are expected to provide guidance on the calculation of emissions factors for transportation fuel, the determination of clean fuel production credits, and registration as a producer of clean fuel.
