The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) announced the state Agricultural Stewardship Tax credit, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The first round of applications for the tax credit, which provides a refundable income tax credit for farmers and ranchers who manage their land in ways that improve soil health, boost water efficiency, and create diverse and beneficial ecosystems, is set to open on Nov. 10.
