Congress Members Plan to Meet on Crypto-Tax Briefing Thursday

The House Ways and Means Committee is set to hold a closed-door meeting to discuss cryptocurrency taxation on Thursday, according to three people familiar with the panel’s plans who were granted anonymity to divulge details.

The meeting is set to be bipartisan and only for members, Democrat and GOP sources familiar with the committee’s plans said. It’s a sign that crypto taxation legislation, which had appeared to be in the slow lane, may be getting bipartisan attention.
