Corporate Transparency Act Challenge in Texas to Remain on Hold

Two Texas business owners lost their bid to reopen their challenge to the Corporate Transparency Act after a federal judge Tuesday rejected their argument that an abeyance is no longer warranted.

The order pausing Samantha Smith and Robert Means’ CTA case—entered in July to allow the Treasury Department to issue new regulations—will remain in place for now, said Judge Jeremy D.
