Corporate Transparency Act to Remain Enjoined Pending US Appeal

The Corporate Transparency Act will remain temporarily blocked pending the US government’s appeal of the nationwide injunction against the law and its implementing regulations, a Texas federal judge ruled Tuesday.

The US Department of Justice asked Judge Amos L. Mazzant III of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas to stay his order, which stops the Treasury Department from enforcing the CTA’s disclosure requirements, pending review by the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
