Countries Leery of Simplified Transfer Pricing Method

Current and former government officials said Thursday that countries are hesitant to use a simplified method of transfer pricing being pushed by the US under the global tax deal.

Rebecca Saint, Australian Tax Office deputy commissioner, Public Groups, said the government hasn’t commented on the simplified method—known as Amount B of the OECD-led tax agreement—but noted that adoption would result in a loss of revenue for the country.
