A lawsuit over the taxation of cryptocurrency tokens isn’t dead even after the government provided a check for the full taxes and interest, the couple bringing the case has argued in a court filing.
Joshua and Jessica Jarrett filed the memorandum Monday with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in opposition to a Feb. 28 government motion to dismiss. The government argued in a memo filed alongside its motion that there was nothing left to adjudicate in the Jarretts’ case, because the couple had already received the full refund they sued for.
