Curaçao to Adopt Rules for Global Minimum Tax in 2025

Curaçao will enact a pair of new taxes in 2025 to implement the global minimum tax regime being rolled out by countries around the world.

Curaçao published an ordinance Friday that will establish a new domestic additional tax and income inclusion surcharge to put its tax code in line with the minimum tax, known as Pillar Two of the OECD’s global tax deal. The country’s Parliament approved the bill on Dec. 20.

Pillar Two seeks to impose a 15% minimum tax rate on multinational companies making more than 750 million euros ($778 million) a year.
