Daimler Gets Split Ruling on Tax Value of Oregon Headquarters

An Oregon magistrate judge split the difference in determining how to value the 530,000-square-foot corporate office campus of Daimer Trucks North America LLC.

Magistrate Richard D. Davis partly granted and partly denied Daimler’s appeal of its 2022-2023 property tax assessments in Oregon Tax Court, determining the company was mostly correct in valuing two buildings in the campus but failed to justify a reduced value for the third. He set the combined value of the three buildings at $199.7 million.
