The Danish tax agency will settle with a lawyer it has accused of being an orchestrator to a $2.1 billion tax fraud.
Skatteforvaltningen, or SKAT, wrote to inform the US District Court for the Southern District of New York that it has reached an agreement to settle the claims against Michael Ben-Jacob, ending years of litigation against the lawyer. The two parties will finalize the settlement and file it with the court by Nov. 14.
