GOP Advances Tax Bill in Party Line Panel Vote (2)

Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee cleared a trio of GOP tax bills Tuesday night without any support from Democrats, who cast the legislation as a giveaway to rich companies and individuals.

The tax package, introduced Friday, would extend expiring provisions from the 2017 GOP-led tax overhaul and provide tens of billions in tax breaks to both individuals and businesses.
