Democrats Cry Foul on Tax-Exempt Crackdown

The Trump administration going after tax-exempt organizations isn’t seen by Democrats as an act of good faith, even though there’s bipartisan agreement that enforcement is lax.

“Reforms are needed, but not so that Trump and his insider buddies can use the government to beat on anybody who disagrees with them,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tells Chris Cioffi. “There is no evidence that they plan to do this in an even-handed non-political way.”
