Denmark’s PM Rules Out Austerity in Pandemic Aftermath: Borsen

Denmark will not use austerity as a tool for economic recovery once the coronavirus crisis is over, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says in an interview with newspaper Borsen.

  • Frederiksen, a social democrat, says it’s an “old-fashioned way of thinking” to introduce cuts on welfare to reduce costs and pay back debt
