Discussions on finalizing a multilateral solution on how to tax digital companies could resume later this year, a European Union commissioner said Wednesday.
The goal is “to successfully conclude the Pillar One discussions,” Commissioner Michael McGrath told the European Parliament. Pillar One is the part of the OECD-led global tax agreement that would reallocate part of the right to tax big digital companies to countries where they do business but don’t have a major physical presence.
