The head of the Department of Justice Tax Division is joining a Washington law firm as the department works to eliminate the division.
Karen Kelly, acting assistant attorney general, will join Kostelanetz LLP, according to a Monday announcement from the firm. Her practice will focus on state and federal civil tax controversies, criminal tax and white collar investigations, and internal investigations.
