The Dutch cabinet will reduce excise duties on fuel from April 1 to absorb increases in energy prices, according to news agency ANP.
- The government will also reduce value-added tax on energy from July 1
- The cabinet allocates EU2.8b for purchasing power recovery; it will provide low-income citizens with up to 800 euros subsidy for energy bills instead of the previously announced 200 euros
