Embattled Ohio Doctor Denied Bid to Dismiss $647,000 Tax Dispute

The government can continue to pursue a case against an Ohio doctor for unpaid taxes after her arguments about their constitutionality were rejected.

Sherri Tenpenny’s arguments that the IRS lacks authority to enforce taxes against her are refuted by the 16th Amendment, Judge J. Philip Calabrese of the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio wrote Friday, rejecting Tenpenny’s motion to dismiss the case.
