Developers of renewable energy projects trying to plan investments years ahead are hoping for new Treasury Department rules on domestic content bonus credits this year that boost the value of green energy incentives.
A company developing a green energy project can get bonus tax credits if it sources enough material and production inside the US, as a result of provisions in Democrats’ 2022 tax-and-climate law. Treasury issued some guidance last May, but companies are hoping to see more later this year.
