EU countries will have a longer timeframe to implement aspects of a VAT bill that affects platforms like Airbnb and Uber.
In a meeting between EU envoys on Thursday, the implementation period for the so-called deemed supplier rule was extended to 2030, according to people familiar with the matter. That was done to placate Estonia, the only holdout against the bill, which wanted more time.
