The European Commission has launched a public call for feedback on its initiative to simplify the bloc’s tax rules.
In an accompanying document explaining the initiative, launched on Monday, the commission said its tax laws have made “significant achievements,” but acknowledged that the “legal and economic landscape has significantly evolved.”
A host of EU laws including the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive, the Interest and Royalties Directive, the Tax Merger Directive, and the Parent-Subsidiary Directive are all subject to revision, according to the document.
