A senior European Commission official promised Wednesday to deliver ambitious legislation meant to simplify the bloc’s tax rules, saying the bill will be “very business-friendly.”
Benjamin Angel, head of direct tax in the commission’s tax department, said the bill follows the “biggest review of European tax legislation ever.” He was speaking at a International Fiscal Association conference in Madrid.
