The European Union confirmed the removal of four countries from its tax haven list of non-cooperative jurisdictions against which EU members are required to take defensive measures.
The Bahamas, Belize, the Seychelles, and Turks and Caicos were delisted Tuesday, slimming the list down from 16 jurisdictions to 12.
Belize and the Seychelles were moved to a gray list of nations where tax cooperation improvements have been promised but not yet delivered, while the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos were removed entirely.
