EU Transfer Pricing ‘All Over the Place’ Amid Harmonizing Talks

EU member states’ implementation of common transfer pricing guidelines is “all over the place” as the European Commission struggles to garner support for a proposal that would harmonize the bloc’s rules, a senior official said.

“As the commission we find that highly regrettable that member states are all over the place and unable to sit at the same table and try to clarify” transfer pricing rules and agree on common implementation, Benjamin Angel, the commission’s top official on direct tax policy, said at a European Parliament hearing Thursday.
