The European Commission needs to ensure its initiative to create a new set of corporate, employment, and tax laws doesn’t duplicate existing rules and instead simplifies them, according to two tax adviser groups.
The commission’s consultation on the so-called 28th Regime fails “to address potential disadvantages and extra burden for practitioners, administrations and courts” that the new regime could bring, the European Tax Advisers Federation said.
