Electric vehicle makers in Canada are urging the federal government in Ottawa to boost more incentives than just proposed tax credits to help draw cash into the sector amid a growing trade war with the US.
President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada and threats of further trade actions have undercut the potential impact of the country’s proposed 10% EV supply chain investment tax credit, major business groups said.
