Federal employee unions challenging the Trump administration’s use of a “loyalty question” in hiring processes have asked a federal appeals court to direct a district court judge to rule on their lawsuit.
The unions petitioned the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the District Court for the District of Massachusetts to rule, claiming it has “failed to act at all” in the seven months since they filed their original complaint.
