FedEx, US, Ordered to Explain How Chevron’s Fall Alters Tax Case

FedEx Corp. and the government each need to assess how the recent overturning of the Chevron doctrine will affect their ongoing tax dispute.

Judge Samuel H. Mays Jr. on Monday directed both parties to file new briefs explaining if and how the doctrine’s elimination last week by the US Supreme Court affects arguments in their case before the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. The parties have 14 days to do so.
