Finland Looks to Make Income, Vehicle Tax Changes in 2025 Budget

Finland plans to lower some income tax thresholds as part of annual indexing and begin raising vehicle taxes for electric and hybrid vehicles as part of its 2025 budget proposal, the government said.

The proposal, which was submitted to parliament Monday, aims to consolidate public finances after a budget crisis earlier this year, the Finance Ministry said in a release.

Parliament is expected to approve the 2025 budget in its plenary session in December, it added.
