Flight Disruptions Delay Senate Procedural Vote on Chips Bill

The Senate delayed a procedural vote on a bill to boost the US domestic semiconductor industry after flight disruptions caused by storms on the East Coast prevented some senators from returning to Washington on Monday.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the vote would be held Tuesday morning with passage of the long-delayed legislation still on track for later this week.

“I remain hopeful that we can remain on track to finish this legislation ASAP,” Schumer said on the Senate floor.
