Several former IRS officials are advising a startup company, IVIX, focused on helping tax authorities across the globe combat tax evasion.
The company announced in a news release Wednesday that it had secured $13 million in seed funding. The company’s board of advisers includes three former agency officials who are now in private practice: Fred Goldberg, a former IRS commissioner; Don Fort, former chief of the IRS’s Criminal Investigation Division; and Eric Hylton, former commissioner of the IRS’s Small Business and Self-Employed Division.
