E. & J. Gallo Winery qualifies for manufacturer tax status and a lower franchise tax rate for its vineyard along Seneca Lake, the New York Division of Tax Appeals said.
The tribunal ordered the state to refund about $7 million in corporate franchise taxes for the period of January 2015 through December 2019, the unpublished opinion released Thursday said.
