Georgia Amends Property Tax Exemption for Pickens County Seniors, Disabled

The Georgia Governor signed a law amending the property tax exemption for the Pickens County School District. The law increases the income cap from $25,000 to $40,000 for senior citizens and disabled residents seeking a full exemption from school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes.
