Germany and China have pledged to help developing nations administer the global minimum tax rules just months before they’re poised to go into effect.
The two countries released a joint statement following a high-level financial dialogue in Frankfurt calling for countries around the globe to coordinate on the 15% global minimum tax to help avoid double taxation and reduce the compliance burden for companies.
“Both sides call for greater coordination among countries implementing the Global Anti-Base Erosion Rules to avoid double taxation and mitigate compliance burden of enterprises,” the countries said in their Oct. 1 statement.
