Senate GOP Floats Health Credit Options
Ahead of a deadline at month’s end, Republicans are proposing ideas to address the expiring health-care tax credits at the heart of the longest government shutdown in US history.
A plan developed by Sens. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) would provide federally funded health savings accounts to certain high-deductible Affordable Care Act health plans, according to a document viewed by Bloomberg. The senators publicly unveiled their bill late Monday.
