GOP Health Reconciliation Bill Planned for May 7 House Markup

Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee are planning to mark up their piece of the budget reconciliation bill on May 7, committee spokesperson Matt VanHyfte confirmed Tuesday.

The panel needs to find $880 billion in savings.

Potential changes to Medicaid are being discussed, but Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.), chairman of the committee, said Monday night there wasn’t text yet.
