GOP Lawmaker ‘Confident’ Reshaped Global Tax Deal Is Imminent

A key House Republican expects the OECD to conclude negotiations soon on a revised global minimum tax after the body failed to meet a year-end deadline set by US officials.

Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan.) said Friday Congress would “continue to trust, but verify,” that nations at the organization will finalize the deal, which would exempt US companies from certain portions of the tax.
