A full repeal of the Democrats’ 2022 tax-and-climate law is unlikely even as former President Donald Trump heads back to office with a Republican-led Senate.

GOP lawmakers have said the so-called Inflation Reduction Act is an early target to raise cash for extension of the 2017 GOP tax overhaul, which has many provisions expiring at the end of next year. But despite Trump’s calls for a full repeal, other Republicans have signaled that they’ll take a more targeted approach in dismantling parts of the climate law, in part because of the job creation the law inspired in red districts. ...
