House Ways and Means Committee members won’t be headed to Paris for meetings at OECD headquarters this week, as lawmakers expect a late Wednesday night of votes to pass the debt-limit bill.
“It was called off late last night,” Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-Pa.) said Wednesday. It’s not clear if the trip would be rescheduled at a later time.
A request to the committee for comment Wednesday on the status of the trip went unreturned.
