Greece will suspend for four months the payment of sales tax amounts that were to due to be paid by the end of March, Finance Minister
- Suspension also for four months of payment of outstanding debt obligations
- Next week’s Eurogroup meeting must immediately take concrete initiatives to tackle the negative effects of the virus on growth and public finances
- Initiatives both to prevent the spread of the virus and to strengthen health systems, as well as to stimulate liquidity and safeguard employment
- Greece to also suspend until June 30 payment by companies of social security contributions: Labor Minister Ioannis Vroutsis says
- All initiatives are applicable to businesses in areas of the country where sectors of the economy have been unable to operate for more than 10 days owing to restrictions imposed by the government to contain the coronavirus
