Division among the GOP over the tax bill is going public, with the top Senate Finance Republican calling a pressure campaign to back the bill without changes counterproductive.
Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) told reporters Wednesday that he’s looking to find agreement from his GOP colleagues on what they need to get behind the $78 billion tax package, but decried a presumption his colleagues would “rubber stamp” the bill.
