HILL TAX BRIEFING: Lawmakers Still Stuck on Stimulus Negotiations

Lawmakers are facing pressure from corporate executives to bring relief for businesses, as the pandemic continues.

The Senate left yesterday to begin its Thanksgiving recess. Negotiations stalled for months before the election and have remained at a standstill as House Democrats and Senate Republicans squabble over the size of the package and the White House retreats.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon said Congress needs to start compromising on a stimulus package and put the interests of Americans, not politics, at the forefront.
