Families that don’t typically file tax returns can now register online for advance child tax credit payments scheduled to start going out next month.
The $1.9 trillion stimulus law (Public Law 117-2) enacted in March temporarily boosted the credit for 2021 and mandated that the IRS send out periodic advanced payments.
