House Oversight Demands More on IRS Taxpayer Leaks
The GOP-led House Judiciary Committee is demanding the IRS provide more information about the leak of taxpayer information belonging to President Donald Trump and other billionaires.
Former IRS contractor Charles Littlejohn admitted to stealing return information and providing it to news outlets. He pleaded guilty in 2023 to one count of unauthorized disclosure of taxpayer information and was sentenced in January 2024 to five years in prison.
