The IRS must turn over more details on how many taxpayers had personal information exposed in an IRS contractor’s leak of prominent billionaires’ tax returns—including those of President Donald Trump, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said Thursday.
The IRS has sent multiple notices to thousands of taxpayers who had information leaked by former IRS contractor Charles Littlejohn, though details were scant on what information was stolen. Littlejohn admitted to stealing return information and providing it to news outlets.
