House Tax Subpanel Announces Hearing on Tax Extenders

The House Ways and Means subcommittee responsible for tax policy will hold a hearing March 12 on temporary tax breaks, known as extenders.

  • The hearing titled “Temporary Policy in the Internal Revenue Code” will be held by the Ways and Means Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee, according to a March 5 news release.
  • Dozens of the tax breaks, including ones for the biodiesel and short line railroad industries, expired at the end of 2017.
